Hair Design: 1700 hours
Techniques from a variety of professional systems are used in training for hair design, including the latest and most comprehensive texts available. The State of Oregon licensing exam is composed of questions derived from the Milady series. These programs offer a scientific and artistic approach to hair design curriculum. This approach offers state-of-the-art methods in long hair design, including braiding and up-dos, thermal styling with blow dryers and curling irons, and wet hairstyling with rollers, pincurls, and fingerwaves. A variety of short styles for men, women, and children are also reviewed. Visual aids—including video technology—enhance personal instruction given by the teaching staff.
The haircut is at the foundation of your success as a designer. All perm, color, and design services depend on the sculpted form you create. Tools used include shears, clippers, trimmers, razors, and texturizing shears.
