To enroll in our cosmetology courses, students must be over the age of 18. They must also have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
How long is your cosmetology course?
Cosmetology is one of our longest and most comprehensive courses, clocking in at 1,835 hours. Students can choose a 25 or 30-hour-per-week schedule, with the course lasting between 15 and 18 months on average.
What are the graduation requirements for this program?
In order to graduate from our cosmetology course, students must complete their required clock hours and modules in hair design, nail technology, and esthetics. Our programs include hands-on labs and physical exams as well as written coursework.
What financial aid options do you offer?
Northwest College of Beauty offers a variety of financial aid options for our students. We accept federal financial aid through FAFSA as well as private student loans. We also encourage our students to apply for grants and scholarships.
Where are your cosmetology courses located?
Our cosmetology courses are offered at our six campuses throughout Oregon. In the Portland metro area, we have campuses in Beaverton, Clackamas, Hillsboro, and Tualatin. Classes are also available in our southern Oregon locations, Medford and Springfield.
Effective December 9th, 2023: We will no longer be offering salon services or student enrollments at our Hillsboro location. You can still receive the same great services and education at our nearby Beaverton campus!
