Northwest College School of Beauty Campuses

Northwest College School of Beauty has six campuses throughout Oregon, making it possible for anyone in the Portland Metro Area or Southern Oregon to attend programs. All six of our campuses offer both day and evening classes to give prospective students training flexibility.

Portland Area Campuses:

  • Beaverton
  • Clackamas
  • Hillsboro
  • Tualatin

Southern Oregon Campuses:

  • Medford
  • Springfield

Admissions Procedure

To qualify as a student at Northwest College, all applicants must:

  • Be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Have proof of completion of high school or its equivalent (GED)
  • Complete the school admission forms and informational interview

An informational interview will consist of questions and answers with your admissions office, and a tour of the campus. This is a time for you get a full understanding of the beauty industry, and the expectations of Northwest College to determine if this is the career path that excites you! For an admissions informational interview, contact the Northwest College campus of your choice and bring the following required items to complete the enrollment process:

  • Proof of high school completion or its equivalent (GED)
  • Driver’s License, State photo ID card, passport, military ID (or other proof of age, such as a birth certificate)
  • Valid Social Security card
  • Alien registration card, if applicable

Proof of high school completion, GED or associate degree includes:

  • Copy of high school diploma
  • Official high school transcripts
  • GED certificate
  • A GED pocket card
  • Signed GED test results from the test site indicating a passing score

Anyone interested that cannot meet the admissions requirements are encouraged to reapply once they are able to meet these requirements.

If you are interested in applying for federal student financial assistance, please also bring the following with you to your interview:

  • Tax information from the last year’s tax return forms
  • Completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, or proof of online form completion, for review by financial aid advisor

Students applying for federal student aid may be selected for random federal verification, if so, you will need to bring the following to the financial aid advisor at your campus:

  • Complete tax forms including W-2s
  • Your parents’ signed tax information if you are under 24 years of age, have no legal dependents, are unmarried, have never been an orphan or ward of the court, are not a veteran, and are not studying beyond a bachelor’s degree

I was very scared going back to school after nearly 20 years, but attending NW College in Tualatin made it an easy transition. I had no idea what to expect from beauty school or if I was making the right career move, but in no time at all I knew NW College was the right decision for me.
