What You Can Learn in Our Esthetician Training Course

Training to be an esthetician can open a new career path in professional skincare! Estheticians work with clients to bring out the best in their skin. They might use facials, makeup, light therapy, or any of the many other treatments and technologies used in skincare. Estheticians can help address client concerns such as unwanted hair, acne, or uneven skin tone. The result is a client who looks and feels their best!

Our esthetics training program covers 600 clock hours, which is more than what’s required by the state for licensing. This additional time allows you to refine your skills and build confidence in working with clients.

We aim to help prepare students to sit for the state licensing exam and build the necessary skill set to enter the esthetics industry. Our instructors deliver training through classroom instruction, demonstrations, guest speakers, and digital learning platforms. You can also have an opportunity to build your confidence in working with clients in a simulated spa setting under the supervision of licensed instructors. Our goal is to prepare you with the entry-level job skills, technical knowledge, and personal attitudes needed for a successful career in the esthetics industry.

Choose from six convenient Oregon campus locations and schedule your tour today. Our admissions representatives will show you around the campus and, when you are ready, help you get started on the enrollment process.

Your Potential for a Future in Skincare

While we can’t guarantee employment after graduation, we do our best to support your career journey. We offer an on-site job bulletin board and an Online Career Center where you can look for new employment opportunities for esthetic graduates. Our team can help you prepare a resume and practice for interviews so you can apply for these opportunities with confidence!

Oregon Esthetician School FAQs

How long does it take to complete the esthetics training?

The esthetics course covers 600 clock hours. Students can complete it in as little as five months. How long it takes to finish the course depends on your attendance, start date, and whether you attend day or evening classes. We offer flexibility in class schedules so you don’t have to give up your dream of becoming an esthetician because of other scheduling obligations.
An admissions representative can discuss your scheduling options and estimate your completion date.

Do I have to take this course to become a cosmetologist?

This is one of three courses required by the State of Oregon to become a fully licensed cosmetologist. The other two courses are Hair Design and Nail Technology. We highly recommend taking the full cosmetology course so you can maximize your career options in the future. However, some students who love skincare opt only to pursue their esthetics licensure. Talk to an admissions representative about your career goals so they can help you choose the right course.

Can I combine esthetics training with other courses?

Yes! While we highly recommend the full cosmetology training course, you can take the esthetics training course with any of our other training programs, such as nail technology. Talk to an admissions representative about your training options, and they can help you find the right course combination to suit your career goals.

Is financial aid available?

Yes, financial aid is available to those who qualify. We participate in several federal student aid programs, so you can apply for grants or low-interest loans to help fund your training. We can help you explore your options so the cost doesn’t prevent you from getting the necessary training.

Is your program accredited?

Yes! We’re accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). The organization ensures our curriculum meets rigorous standards so our students get a quality beauty education. Our accreditation also means students can use certain federal student loan programs.
