What You Can Learn in Our Advanced Esthetics Program

Northwest College School of Beauty now offers Advanced Esthetician training at three of our Oregon campuses! The Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission approves our advanced esthetics program, now taught at our Medford, Springfield, and Tualatin campuses.

Our nationally-accredited Advanced Esthetics program is designed to expand on basic esthetician skills by using the latest technology and techniques to address client skincare concerns.

This performance-oriented course covers 725 clock hours, allowing you to develop new skills and expand your career potential in as little as 24 weeks. The course uses modern skincare equipment to help you build on your skill set and gain confidence in treating your client’s skincare concerns.

During the course, you can learn to work on our Clarity II™ Dual Wavelength Alexandrite Laser by Lutronic, along with other modern spa equipment. Using this equipment, you can learn more about the science behind advanced esthetic techniques and the art of caring for your client’s skin.

This training program is currently offered at three campus locations. Each campus has the required technology and provides a simulated spa area where you can work with real clients to practice your skills under the supervision of licensed instructors. Career Potential for Advanced Esthetics Graduates

We include 100 additional training hours in the program to prepare you for working in a medical setting as a certified advanced esthetician, as most employment opportunities in the advanced esthetics field are in a medical setting. This includes:

Dermatology clinics
Plastic surgery clinics
Reconstructive plastic surgery clinics
Medical spas

We cannot guarantee employment upon completion of the course. However, we offer an Online Career Center and on-site bulletin board where you can learn about new opportunities for graduates.

Oregon Advanced Esthetician Training Program FAQs

How long does the advanced esthetics training take to complete?

Students can complete the advanced esthetician program in as little as 24 weeks. However, your timeline for completion will depend on whether you take day or evening classes, as well as your attendance record and start date. We offer flexible scheduling options so you can fit this training into your busy schedule, and don’t miss out on this great training opportunity.

Is financial aid available for this program?

Yes, financial aid is available to those who qualify. This is a nationally-accredited program, so you will have access to educational funding that might not be available with other programs. Based on eligibility, federal financial aid may cover up to 80% of the cost of the course! Talk to an enrollment advisor to learn more.

What are the enrollment requirements?

To enroll in advanced esthetics training, you must complete a basic training course. That could be at our school or another course somewhere else. If you need help determining whether your course qualifies you for enrollment, speak with an admissions representative.

Do students work with real clients during their training?

Yes! Our students work with the latest technology and real skincare clients in a simulated spa setting. This gives you an opportunity to gain confidence in your new skills and learn how to work with spa equipment.

Enrollment and Admissions Requirements

We encourage all prospective students to tour their preferred campus! This allows you to learn more about the program, see classrooms in action, and ask questions about the course. Our admissions representative will show you around and ensure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about your esthetics training. Contact one of our three campuses offering advanced esthetics training and arrange your tour.

To begin the enrollment process, you must:

Have completed basic esthetician training
Be at least 18 years old
Have proof of completion of high school or its equivalent (such as a GED)
Complete the school admissions forms and informational tour

You must also supply a state-issued ID and a social security card. Other information and a $100 registration fee may be required to secure your spot in the course. Talk to your admissions representative for more details.
