Our beauty colleges are contemporary, practical, and offer accredited professional training programs. For your convenience, we have four Portland beauty schools located in Beaverton, Clackamas, Hillsboro and Tualatin. For those in Southern Oregon, we have beauty schools located in Springfield and Medford to give you flexible options for your cosmetology training!
The Northwest College School of Beauty teaching methodology is based on small groups of students. This allows for plenty of one-on-one instruction while giving students the benefit of group teaching and discussions.
The Hair Design and Barbering programs are performance-oriented. "Performance oriented" means students must not only complete their clock hours, but also complete all required academic courses and laboratory projects, perform practical operations in a simulated salon environment, pass written and practical examinations, and meet state safety and sanitation requirements.
