HOW TO PAY FOR BEAUTY SCHOOL
Do you have an eye for beauty and a passion for creativity? Maybe you have already considered joining the beauty industry, but you have no idea where to start and how to pay for your education. Paying for beauty school can be a significant investment, but there are several options available to help you cover the costs. Northwest College School of Beauty offers several options for payment of tuition and related expenses. The cost of your education shouldn’t hold you back from pursuing your dreams. Here are some ways you can get started and finance your beauty school education!
How Much Is Beauty School Going to Cost?
The first step to paying for your education is determining how much beauty school could cost you. The more you know now, the better you can prepare and have a clear idea of what you need to do to save money. The price can depend on where you go to school and how long you plan to go to school.
Northwest College School of Beauty’s Hair Design Program is a 1,150-hour program that can be completed in as little as 16 months. Our barbering program is 946 hours and the esthetician program is 600 hours. Knowing these smaller details can help you to know how much other expenses might be, like housing.
Do I Qualify for Financial Aid?
Covering the costs of your education can become quite expensive, but by utilizing the appropriate resources, you might not have to rely solely on your own funds to finance your academic journey. Federal Student Aid can assist eligible students with grants and low-interest loans. Students seeking financial aid assistance must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). The FAFSA® school code for Northwest College School of Beauty is 014351. Financial Aid is available to those who qualify.
Apply for Scholarships and Grants
There are a lot of beauty school scholarships to choose from! Grants and scholarships are free money that you don’t have to pay back. Grants are often need-based, while scholarships are usually merit-based. When doing your research, be aware of application deadlines so you don’t miss out on scholarships for which you might be eligible. Scholarships can cover more than just your tuition costs. They are great for housing, food, textbooks, and more!

- Work While Studying: If you are able to manage your time effectively, consider working part-time while attending beauty school. Working can help you to cover your living expenses and reduce your reliance on student loans.
- Employer Sponsorship: Do you already work for a salon or beauty-related business? Ask your employer about the possibility of sponsoring your education. Some employers may offer tuition assistance for employees who are looking to improve their skills and knowledge.
